Moodle4Schools
Enovation have long been providing managed learning solutions to schools in Ireland, UK and France. These solutions are based on the open source Learning Management System Moodle. We have two Moodle4Schools offerings, these are outlined below.
Entry Level
At this level, the schools is provided with Moodle but with no content. The school must therefore configure the site and create the course structure and content that they require. Some attributes of the offering are:
- Managed hosted environment
- secure, locked down infrastruture
- Moodle application and environment security patches applied
- 99.999% uptime
- Excellent performance
- Basic theme
Enhanced

In addition to the managed and secure environment you would expect, there are many other benefits including:
- Mapped content & Courses covering 80% of the Irish curriclum
- Access to a huge repository of content for schools - the Goblal Grid for Learning - for use in creating your own courses
- Integrated access to ECDL content and assessment
- Includes integration for Google Apps for Education
- Includes training & support
This service is currently in pilot and due to be rolled out nationally at the end of 2011. This initiative will greatly help schools to increase LMS usage and effectiveness through access to rich, relevant, copyright approved content mapped to the Irish curriculum.
