Solutions

Our clients across all the sectors have a number of key requirements when it comes to sourcing solutions to their business needs. Flexibility is important, as is ease of use, quick and efficient deployment and cost effectiveness. The solutions side of our business is all of these things and more. We combine best-of-breed open source technologies with our managed and consultancy services to help clients implement solutions that meet all their key business requirements. We have a team of acknowledged experts and thought leaders in their fields of eLearning, Document and Content Management and Repositories.

Many of of clients are interested in our eLearning / Online Learning solutions to meet specific business needs in terms of Compliance or Health and Safety. These solutions a built around one of the World's leading Learning Management Systems (LMS) Moodle and can utilise other products such as Mahara, Drupal or Alfresco depending on the functionality required of the Learning Portal.

Related to eLearning but often implemented as a standlone solution is the ePortfolio product Mahara. It has also been used for building online Communities of Practice or as an institutional Walled Garden.

We have also knowledge management solutions based on the Alfresco or DSpace products. Typically Alfresco is implemented as an Enterprise Document Management solution or in some cases as an online collaboration environment, where a number of parties need to swap artifacts online and therefore permissions, workflow and version control are of critical importance. DSpace is more often used in academic circles as an Open Access Repository (OAR) or as a preservation system.

Finally, an area where we have worked with many clients, is web content management systems. This is an ever evolving landscape where some products gain more community momentum than others with the result that some become obsolete. We first started working with Mambo and then moved to Joomla. However, all new projects are developed using Drupal.

With all of these solutions we offer a complete outsourced management capability, taking the technology headache away from our clients allowing then to concentrate on their business.
