We offer clients a secure environment to host their eLearning solution. Our hosting servers are configured to ensure optimum performance of the hosted applications. We can offer our clients advice on server configuration and can help troubleshoot issues that arise.

Hosting Environment

The Data Centre is equipped with a state-of-the-art security system to prevent unauthorized access to your equipment. Proximity cards, combined with biometric readers and mantraps, access is limited to authorized personnel.

Hardware level

• One of the best data centres in Europe
• Only server grade hardware (redundant power supplies, RAID5 arrays for storage)
• Daily, weekly and monthly on site and off site backups including archiving to tapes or external disk storage

Operating System level

• Secure Linux distribution - Debian
• Secure and scalable system architecture based on high performance apache httpd server implementation
• External monitoring (performance and security)
• Intrusion detection system
• SSL for sensitive data transfers
• Server wide virus protection
• Regular updates and patching

Application level

• SSL for logins
• Strong passwords and password policies
• Secure forms
• Antivirus integration
• Critical security patches implementation

Backup

Daily, incremental, on disk and off site backups. Weekly full on disk and off site backups. Backup retention policy is agreed depending on requirements. Disaster Recovery Policy is implemented depending on client requirements.
